Yes, we know this blog usually features fun things to do and local attractions, but we also know the people of Virginia will want to help find college student Morgan Harrington. She is vibrant, well liked, creative, and a big Metallica fan. Unfortunately, this lovely 20-year-old student went missing following a Metallica concert at Virginia Tech last week. Hearing the news of Morgan’s disappearance, the heavy metal rock band immediately contributed $50,000 to the reward fund, hoping to find information that will help locate the girl.
Have you seen her? Morgan’s photo can be viewed here. Police did find Morgan’s purse and cell phone in a parking lot the day after the concert. If you have any information about this case, please contact the Virginia authorities immediately.
FBI investigators haven’t found many other clues thus far. Morgan went to the concert with friends. She became separated while they were leaving and told the friends on her cell phone that she would find her own way home. This seems like a strange thing for a young girl to do late at night, though no reports have disclosed any altercation with the group that accompanied her that evening. Her parents, Dan and Gil Harrington, are working to keep media and public focus on their daughter’s disappearance.
