Alexandria, Virginia Killer Gets A Life Sentence Plus 70 Years

7 December, 2009

Alexandrian Juantissa Hill's killer was just handed his sentence of life plus 70 years in the Alexandria Circuit Court in Virginia. Hill was a Navy petty officer for the Pentagon and when she didn't report to work one morning co-workers became worried. She was found in her home strangled to death. A flat screen television and computer were found missing as well as her vehicle.

Hill's killer, Rodney Eric Smith, was found several days later through a series of witnesses, video surveillance, DNA tests, and other forensic examinations. Smith even tried selling the flat screen TV before leaving the area for Erie, Pennsylvania.

This was definitely a heinous crime that senselessly took the life of an innocent victim. The scary thing is that there are people out there like Smith that lurk in your neighborhoods. It's usually the person that you least expect would do anything so vile.

So how can you feel safe in your own neighborhood and keep your loved ones protected? A monitored security system from ADT security is a great investment. Keep your homeand family safe from criminals like this and know that they loved ones will be watched over even when you're away from home.
